This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of Redwood Burl (Sequoia sempervivens) with Suriname Ironwood (Bocoa prouacensis) cap. Redwood is the state tree of California and can grow to giant proportion. A stroll in the towering Redwood forest is a memorable experience. The species holds the world record for the tallest tree and can live for more than a thousand year, as its Latin name mean "Forever Living". The timber is widely used for constructions due to it's nice, warm tone and resistance to insect and decay, but the burly wood (which also holds the world record for the largest burl) is something truly special. I saw a redwood burl vessel for the first time in a State Park gift shop. I was dying to have and to hold it, but I was a poor student back then... Now I can make my own redwood burl items, and still fall in love with them, every time! Here is your chance to have a piece of this special timber, from California, with love! Here is a nice container, capped with the super dense ironwood from South America, this holder is a beauty!
The crew-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The slim profile fits unobtrusively in a purse or pocket for the people on the go. This holder can be used to hold toothpicks, pill, snuff, sewing needles, cash stash and small valuables...Also serves as a nice gift for someone who seems to have everything.
