LV-4845 Rainbow Poplar & Leadwood Slim Pill Box, Toothpick Holder, Needle Case-SCREW CAP

LV-4845 Rainbow Poplar & Leadwood Slim Pill Box, Toothpick Holder, Needle Case-SCREW CAP

$ 120.00

This is a pretty slim threaded holder made out of Rainbow Tulip Poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) with Leadwood (Combretum imberbe) cap. Tulip poplar is the state tree of Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. It is the tallest native tree of Eastern US. The wood is generally a non-described off white,but the heartwood might develop color tints from the various mineral absorbed from the soil. When this happen, we have rainbow poplar. I wonder what type of chemistries were at work to create such a colorful natural stains in this species. This threaded box has a very simple profile, longer than my usual slim box to accommodate all the colors of this rainbow. I really like the way Leadwood behaves, polishing up shiny and silky smooth. The density, fine grain, and earthy tone matched up perfectly with the Poplar for added effect.

The screw-on cap makes this holder extra special and ensures that your content is secured. The slim profile fits unobtrusively in a purse or pocket for the people on the go. This holder can be used to hold toothpicks, pill, snuff, sewing needles, cash stash and small valuables...Also serves as a nice gift for someone who seems to have everything.
