This is very nice eggplant shape trinket box made out of Khamphi Rosewood (Dalbergia cultrata) with Verawood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) cap.  I've decided to hunker down and make a few eggplants for my inventory.  The deeply recess, tapered, hand carved cap is an ado unto itself, so I usually don't have a lot of eggplants for my fruit and vegetable stand.  Also known as Burmese Blackwood, this is a true rosewood species with dark, interesting grain. It is a very beautiful, dense wood.  The reddish and nice green combination is just perfect for an eggplant!
