This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of East Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) with Betelnut (Areca catechu) cap.  East indian rosewood is a great tone wood and a nice, rich dark timber for my turning pleasure.  The color ranges from dark purple, red to brown. It is resinous, stable and generally more consistent than most other rosewood species.  Capped with betelnut, it looks ripe and good enough to eat (for the squirrels, that is).

A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Good for small daily pills, keepsake... Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
