This is a very pretty acorn shaped box made out of Snakewood (Piratinera guianensis) with Verawood (Bulnesia sarmientoi) cap.
Snakewood is also known as Letter wood, Speckled wood, and Leopard wood. Considered to be the world’s rarest commercially available species and also the hardest timber. It is a lustrous wood with a unique Viper-like pattern, hence the name Snakewood. This piece was made out of a gallery grade stock of the timber, special and beautiful. Verawood is another one with unusual color. It turns from golden yellow to dark green upon exposure to sunlight. This acorn combines these chameleons of the timber world. The colors also go together exceptionally well together and is a recurrent theme in my design.
A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured, good for daily pills, cash stash, keepsake... Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
