This is a shallow bowl made from a piece of Rainbow Tulip Poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) with a ring of it's own wood shaving inlay.  The rainbow here is a suble mix of purple, yellow and red hues.  At 7" wide, this is as large as my midi lathe can handle.  I inlay in the bottom a band of wood shaving just for the fun of it!
