This is a tiny acorn shaped box made out of Desert Ironwood (Olneya tesota) with Betelnut (Areca catechu) cap. Yes, this wood is hard and heavy like a piece of iron, but with the shimmering of gold and the smoothness of glass when polished. Desert Ironwood is probably the nicest looking wood from North America. The American Indian believes that the wood will bring luck and good health to the people who carries it. I am already feeling very lucky to have a few nice pieces to work with! Capped with the uniquely patterned Betelnut for added visual effect. I really like this one!
A nice box for your valuables. The screw-on cap makes this nature inspired box extra special and ensures that your content is secured. Good for small daily pills, keepsake... Not recommended for long term storage of emergency pill, since I don't know how air/water tight the closure is. Through the ages, people has given out acorns as a symbol of prosperity and luck. This one is a unique gift.
